For my bachelor’s degree capstone project, I wrote, illustrated and printed my own children’s book called “Wilbur and the Magic Star”.

Synopsis:

Wilbur the Whale loved the sky, and one night saw his first shooting star while stargazing. The next morning he came across a starfish, and thinking it was the shooting star, was excited to make his wish. However, he couldn’t come to a decision on what to wish for, and thus recruited help from his friend Ollie the Octopus. Together they brainstormed and decided to wish for them to stay friends forever. As soon as they made their wish however, the starfish crawled away and they erupted in laughter. They realized that they didn’t need the magic of a star to keep their friendship, when the magic was always within the friendship and regardless they will stay friends forever.
